Garden Products / DIATOMITE
Diatomite is a natural mineral of plant origin. The mineral consists of 90% silicon dioxide, the main component of the hard, porous outer walls of diatoms. It is a 100% natural mineral product in the form of a fine powder, similar to talc, and is white in color.
Available Packages: 200gr, 500gr, 2Kg
Diatomite mode of action is mechanical, as it easily adheres to the bodies of crawling insects while they walk, tearing their waxy coating. This results in dehydration of the insects, ultimately causing them to die after a few days.
Application: It is applied by dusting over and around vegetables and ornamental plants, covering the stems and leaves.
Diatomaceous earth is a natural mineral that originates from the fossilized remains of diatoms, microscopic algae that lived in aquatic ecosystems. It is rich in silica and is used in various fields, such as agriculture, industry, and filter production. In agriculture, it serves as a natural insecticide and soil conditioner, providing protection to plants from insects without harming the environment.
